Who we are
This website, talentube.net, is operated by DY SOLUTIONS LIMITED, a company in Hong Kong, trading as TalenTube (“we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at collab@talentube.net.
We handle personal data in line with Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) and its six Data Protection Principles, which the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data explains on its Data Protection Principles page.
Summary
- This site has no contact form, no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking scripts.
- Fonts and thumbnail images are served from our own web server, not from third-party services.
- We receive personal data mainly when you choose to email us or message us on Telegram.
- YouTube’s player is loaded only after you press Play on a video. Once loaded, YouTube can collect data under Google’s own policies.
What we collect and why
Visiting the website
Like most websites, our hosting provider’s servers automatically record technical information when your browser requests a page — typically your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the referring page, and your browser and device type. These server logs are used to deliver the website, keep it secure and diagnose problems. We do not use them to build profiles of visitors.
Emailing us
The “Email us” buttons open your own email app with a prepared draft addressed to collab@talentube.net. Nothing is sent from this website. If you send the email, we receive your email address, your name if included, and whatever you write — for example your company, product, website, preferred package and timing.
We use this information to reply to you, prepare a proposal or quote, and, if we work together, to manage that project. Giving us this information is voluntary, but we may not be able to respond to an inquiry without a way to contact you.
Messaging us on Telegram
If you contact us through Telegram (@TalenTube), we receive your Telegram display name, username and the messages you send, and use them for the same purposes as email. Telegram processes your data under Telegram’s Privacy Policy.
Direct marketing
We do not use personal data collected through this website for direct marketing.
YouTube videos on this site
Our work section shows thumbnail images stored on our own server. No connection is made to YouTube until you press Play on a video.
When you press Play, the video loads in YouTube’s player using its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Privacy-enhanced mode reduces the data YouTube collects before you interact with a video, but it does not mean no data is collected. Once the player loads, Google may receive your IP address and device information, and may set cookies or use similar browser storage, to play the video, measure viewing and for other purposes described in Google’s Privacy Policy.
The “Watch on YouTube” links open the video on youtube.com, where YouTube’s terms and Google’s privacy policy apply. If you prefer not to load YouTube at all, simply don’t press Play.
Cookies and browser storage
This website does not set cookies itself.
If you press the Pause motion or Play motion button on the thumbnail display, your browser stores that one setting (named tt-motion) in its local storage, so the display stays paused on your next visit. This setting stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can clear it by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
Third-party services may set their own cookies when you use them — for example YouTube after you press Play, as described above.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and communicate with you, such as our website hosting provider and our email service provider, and only so far as they need it to provide their services. Some of these providers may store or process data outside Hong Kong.
We may also disclose personal data where required by law, or where necessary to establish or defend legal claims.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data no longer than necessary for the purpose it was collected for, including any related legal, accounting or reporting needs. Inquiry emails and messages are kept while we are discussing or delivering work with you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Server logs are kept according to our hosting provider’s settings.
Security
We take practicable steps to protect personal data against unauthorised or accidental access, processing, loss or use. The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information by email or messaging.
Your rights: access and correction
Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you may ask whether we hold personal data about you, request a copy of it, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate. To make a request, email collab@talentube.net with enough detail for us to identify you and the data concerned. We may need to verify your identity, and we may charge a fee where the Ordinance permits. We will respond within the time the Ordinance requires.
You can also ask us to stop using your data for a particular purpose, or to delete correspondence we no longer need to keep. If you are located outside Hong Kong, local laws may give you additional rights; contact us and we will consider your request under the law that applies.
Children
This website is aimed at businesses and is not directed to children.
Changes and contact
If we change how this website handles personal data — for example by adding a contact form or any analytics — we will update this policy before the change takes effect and revise the date at the top.
