Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use the TalenTube website, including people who use assistive technology, keyboard navigation, zoom or reduced-motion settings. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
This statement describes what we have done and what we know still needs attention. It is not a formal declaration of conformance, and the website has not been independently audited.
What we have built in
- Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure, landmarks and a “Skip to content” link.
- Full keyboard operation with a clearly visible focus indicator.
- Text and controls designed for readable contrast, with a minimum body text size of about 17px.
- Layouts that reflow from 320px wide upwards, so pages work at high zoom without horizontal scrolling.
- Touch targets of at least 44 × 44 pixels for main controls.
- Moving thumbnails in the page header can be paused with a visible Pause motion button. They also pause when hovered, when scrolled out of view, and are switched off entirely if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Videos never play automatically. Each video loads only when you press Play, and every video also has a “Watch on YouTube” link.
- The package comparison is a real data table with row and column headers, and remains a table for screen readers on small screens.
- Descriptive text alternatives for images that carry meaning; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
How we tested
Before publishing this version (October 2026) we:
- ran automated checks with the axe-core engine on every page, at phone and desktop widths, in Chromium;
- checked keyboard navigation, focus visibility, the mobile menu and the video players manually in Chromium;
- checked page layout at 320, 375, 390, 768 and 1440 pixels wide;
- checked behaviour with the “reduce motion” preference turned on.
We have not yet tested with screen readers (such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver), in Safari or Firefox, or with disabled users. Automated tools cannot detect every accessibility issue.
Known limitations
- YouTube player: once you press Play, the video player is provided by YouTube. Its controls and accessibility are outside our control.
- Captions: captions depend on each video. Where a video has captions, you can turn them on with the player’s CC button. We cannot guarantee every video has accurate captions, and the videos do not have audio description.
- Text inside thumbnails: thumbnail images contain stylised headline text. The image descriptions give each video’s title rather than every word in the image.
Feedback and contact
